ECOMMERCE

Now, the Cons...

The misconception of starting an online store is that many people think that it's easier than starting a physical retail store.

But just because your business is online doesn't mean that it's going to be easy.

You still need to make sure you have enough merchandise in stock, and you have a variety of products you're selling (in order to cater to different needs), and that your products are rotated fairly quickly (no one wants to walk into a store where the same products have been in display there for months, collecting dust... it's the same thing with online stores).

First, the Pros of Owning an Online Store

According to my research, the pros of owning an online store added up.

In the next ten years, the competition among retail stores will be fierce, with many closing down. Generic retail stores (particularly small businesses) are especially vulnerable to sales slump.

Things to Think About When Starting An Online Store

I've thought about it, and you might have too.

Should I own an online store?

You might have seen some people (maybe someone around you) make good money selling things online.  And you might have thought, hey, I can do that too.

It happened to me to.

I have a favorite women's online clothing store I love to shop at.  I love everything about the online store: the beautiful clothes, the branding, and the pictures.  The owner of this online store did a fantastic job engaging their customers.
